yesterday i went to my favorite small beauty saloon in our block , that has 3 beauticians, egyptian , indian and a phillipino . its very quite and clean . me and the egyptian beautician dont really get along in a bit funny way.in short the woman has a wild imagination !
the philipino quite girl was doing my pedicure while i was having this egyptian dialect conversation with the egyptian beautician who looks so much like zakeyah zakareyah but the white version.

I don’t know if am the only one who thinks this way but to me everything in Kuwait has a season for example: engagements season , wedding season , pregnancy season , (mawaleed) season traveling season , and same goes to "habbat" , almost the majority of people in Kuwait travel to the same countries ! , habaw fee Egypt , lebanon ,london , montreaux , divvone ,mostly Europe then united states , then back to Lebanon and the last couple of years Australia and Fareast …even the food , u'd go to yam3at and see the same "new" dish in almost every house !, clothes ! oh my !, almost all girls look alike , same colors , style , hair cut , shoes , bags …etc restaurants , remember nino? Lorenzo ? and the list goes on.. anyways this isn’t my main point of this post ;-p

A friend of mine got engaged one month ago ,before Ramadan, shes so sweet mashalla , a beautiful character , smart , athletic, tall , she almost got it all but her eyes are bit protrude which u cant really recognize if shes wearing some make up. anyways I was in one of the girls gatherings when they started to talk about my friend's engagement and I was quiet all the time trying to listen to their conversation . the conversation went like that :

A ; daretaw 3an X ?
B : ee enkha6bat ya7lailhaa
C: ay wa7dah ? ma3araft,ha ?
A : elle kanat m3ana blebnan , 3yoonha mbagegah ( notice she haven’t mentioned anything about my friends beautiful character ,figure and smartness)
C: el th3eefah el 6eweelah ?
A: ee hathee kan kha6ebha "flan" w fsakhaw elkhe6bah.
B: ee yegoloon 3afhaa !. bs hatha el 7ath le ga3ad . mamdaha tefsakh khe6bat,ha mn thak ella enkha6bat marra thania !.

My other friend got married last week , she had this big wedding with , enormous number of flowers , decorations all over the place , famous singers coming to sing on her wedding , ellie saab made her the dress … in short it was one marvelous night … now u want to know what were people saying about the party :

A: el3ers momel wel a'3anii matwannes , ma7ad kan ga3ed yarge9
B: badlat el3aroos kan mwarenee eyaha ellie saab bs ma3jebatnii
C: yegoloon el 3aroos msawyah 3amaleyat tajmeel
A: ee 7adhaa , kanat ma3ai belmadresah , ayeeblech el yearbook teshofeen sorat,ha gabel ( I want to see ur picture in 6th grade too !! I bet you've changed a lot as well)
C: wayed esta3yelaw 3al 3ers , mo tawwa flan elle yeseer 7ag el3aroos metwafii ?
B : khayfeen la ye6eer el me3res ethaher *winking*

I wonder when will people ever SHUT UP ? , if your jealous from that girl that’s ur problem ! , but seriously just try to be happy for others . am sure u would love to know that people were happy to hear good news about you. Nice words would never harm you or cost you anything . am not saying this because they're my friends .i just feel that the new weds family are so happy for them , they made this big wedding to invite you so that you'd share this special day with them. Ennas gadarookum w 3zemokum w et3abaw 3ala el 7aflah . and also if one of the girls or guys got engaged , u don’t have to dig their past and start talking about their old stupid "teenaged" mistakes , we're not perfect either !!.
But my favorite part of all the previous conversations which always happens, is when one of the girls interrupt and say:

عسى الله يوفقهم.

najd (so green)

Comming from a typical NAJDI family we had our own "taboos" "Restrictions" and "traditions". never thought of my background with its contradictions and all that untill i got friends from other backgrounds who thought that my background is weird and a "6ash ma 6ash" kinda thing ! , anyways my Grandfather (alla ye7afthah) is way too traditionalist , in other words hes a typical najdi. he likes us (girls) to wear the (3abat) on our heads just like women back then , it doesnt matter if its with hejab or not as long as we're wearing it. actually we wear it infront of him and take it off as soon as he leaves( i really hate lying to him ! but i also didnt want to ruffle his feathers ) . any how people you gotta see the look on new (chanayen) face when ever we tell them you have to wear the 3abat on ur head infront of grandpa , its PRICELESS ! LOL .he also hates short hair on girls and sometimes pulls the girl's short hair and says "hatha meta b'ye6ool??". he doesnt like big earings, trousers , t-shirts (when ever he sees some of the girls wearing a T.shirt and her wrists are kind of shown, he says " ya bnayah laish metfas.khah?") . if he see someone eating or drinking with his / her left hand he says " belyemeen yamal elkaser". he also doesnt believe in girls going to university , although almost all of us been to the university... he thinks that girls who study to get a job are in need for money , and as he says " banatna mahum b3azat a7ad" you guys might think this is kind of retard , but i think its cute ! i mean how rare, those men who care of their womens needs and wouldnt let them need anything dont really exist anymore !. as for the boys , he prefers to see them in dishdasha and praying each "farth" in the mosque right next to him!. now when it comes to marriage , if a girl is engaged no one knows about that untill the men come and ask for her hand officially and then they'd announce it . sometimes even her sisters wouldnt know only one day before the men come or so !!. Nejadah (or neyadah) pronounce the (j) but its different than the beduin accent . we still use some words like
"ya7ebeelah" , "em7e6ah" "ezheleeha" "mair" ...etc from time to time

their number one interest is their palm trees ;-p . in europe if your trying to be nice and start a conversation with someone you would talk about the weather ! .well not in our case !. people here would talk about dates seasons ( mawsem ler6ab welkhalal , wetamer wel chebas...etc). one annoying thing about "them" (masra3 ma tebarait menhum) Nejadah are way too proud !, you see them talking about najd as if its the land of heavens , well am particulary from a small town called "zelfey" this place has nothing but red sands (ramel enifood) so u see my cousins and uncles go like " we're originally from ziladilfia " or when they feel like bragging they'd say "ana zelfawi" ...etc , now on the other hand my grandmother (alla yer7amha) was a wise woman ,wasnt najdiyah , her family came to kuwait in the early days so when ever my uncles and granpa start bragging about them being from Zelfey, shed say

الزلفي خيبة الملفي

and if they start bragging about najd , she would simply shut their mouths with one simple sentence :

نجد لوفيها خير , كان ماهجّوا عنها أهلكم

c'est tot ;-p

some friends are way too demanding , no matter how much you give ,they'd still ask for more and more and more !. i love them , and really care about them ! i dont want to end our "friendship" simply because am enjoying it. but they're not even satisfied with that term ! they want to be more than friends !! (what the hell is more than a close friend?) .they have to give me some break !. i feel they wont be happy even if i give them the whole world !

in business they teach us some things i used to think they're silly , well i guess not any more... it is true there is no such thing as a free lunch

since i've started blogging i've been trying to write short posts that gets you right to the point and make my posts as short as possible ,where i believe most of us are doing lots of readings in our careers or even reading books for fun and when it comes to blogging mostly i find myself tired of reading and would like to read short paragraphs or scan the long posts for the main theme , in exception of the interesting writing style that some have and the variety of exciting vocabulary words some use... so i was wondering if you guys feel the same way ? do u usually read the whole long post ? would u feel more like reading short posts ? do u skip while reading ? should i stick to this method am applying right now ? i mean the short, right to the point posts ?!

i was shopping that day with my friend for Eid in zahra complex when we saw this Gorgeous Girl with amazing figure mashalla moving toward us... i thought she knows my friend but she actually knew both of us and my friend seemed to know her very well ... when she left i asked my friend about her , because the girl knew me but my Gold fish memo span couldn't remember who that girl was . my friend was like " hathii falanah elle kanat m3ana bethanaweyah" . still couldnt remember her . 5 minutes later, i had this FLASH BACK of that way too skinny girl and ya3ny she had a "simple" look ! .. i bursted " hathee elle kenna nsameha "izarzoor ?" what happened ? how did she turn to have such a stunning look ?
my friend simply replied :
.لـــبّــس الــمــكــنـــســـة ,تـــطــلــــع ســـت النسا
تقبل الله طاعتكم
و عيدكم مبارك
